The ASCE — American Society of Civil Engineers scored America’s infrastructure a dismal C-

Infrastructure supports nearly every aspect of life.

Our pipes deliver drinking water to homes and hospitals. Airports, railroads, and inland waterways transport goods from farms and manufacturing plants to store shelves. The roads that crisscross the country allow us to get to work and school safely, and the network of transmission and distribution lines keeps the lights on, and our electronics charged. Dams enable consistent water supply in arid climates, and levees hold back floodwaters to protect rain-soaked communities. For the first time in 20 years, our infrastructure GPA was a C-, up from a D+ in 2017. This is good news and indicates that we’re headed in the right direction, but much work remains.

  • There is a water main break every two minutes, and an estimated 6 billion gallons of treated water lost each day in the U.S., enough to fill over 9,000 swimming pools
  • Growing wear and tear on our nation’s roads have left 43% of our public roadways in poor or mediocre condition, a number that has remained stagnant over the past several years
  • There are 30,000 miles of inventoried levees across the U.S. and an added 10,000 miles of levees whose location and condition are unknown

America’s critical infrastructure is at a crucial stage. Much of it needs renewal, and new energy-efficient infrastructure must be built. The scarcity of funds for these enormous needs means that project efficiency is exceptionally critical, and cybereum will be crucial to make that happen

Twenty-five senior figures from governments, civil society and international organizations take part in meeting chaired by Danish Climate and Energy Minister

The second meeting of the Global Commission on People-Centered Clean Energy Transitions took place on June 24th, 2021, bringing together 25 high-profile energy and climate figures worldwide to assess how to ensure that the transition to clean energy is fair inclusive for everyone.

The complex projects needed to channel trillions of dollars into energy, transportation, and infrastructure projects to support energy transition over the coming decades are deeply entangled in local communities. Transparency and visibility to external stakeholders are essential outcomes from the cybereum architecture.
